On December 7th, 2022, Christie met Jeremy at the 1928 Restaurant & Bar in Beacon Hill on what was their first date from the dating app, Hinge. After some drinks, and ice cream at J.P. Licks on Charles Street, a second date was quickly scheduled for the following Sunday. During those first initial dates, until the holiday break, both quickly realized how much they had to share, and how much they had in common. This was only strengthened as the pair would begin Facetiming each night to recap their days while away with family. Upon returning to Boston, Jeremy quickly asked Christie to be his girlfriend, seizing on how much of a catch Christie was. To his excitement and surprise, she agreed.

Jeremy, having gone to a liberal arts school in Wooster*, Ohio, and Christie, having also gone to a liberal arts college in Worcester*, Massachusetts, connected over the importance of education, love of learning, and connections to friends both still very much in their lives today. They also shared a love of the ocean, of being active, of watching fun shows, of cooking, of having good drinks and of playing golf. But most importantly, they shared a connection that words could never fully capture. Love of Family.

Having come from two very supportive, loving, and welcoming families, Jeremy and Christie were quickly welcomed in as one of their own. Both began to understand how these families shaped their lives. And learned how they became the type of people they are now and may one day become. They also learned about their pasts, through stories, laughter and shared time together.

Ironically, as if fate would end up drawing them together, they both learned that while Jeremy and his family had been going to Popponesset Beach, on Cape Cod, since 2006, Christie and her family had a house on the other side of New Seabury, not more than 2 miles down the road. Never would either of them had imagined the odds, a family from Virginia, vacationing on Cape Cod, would one day merge with a family who lived down the street, in Massachusetts.

As time went on, and both began to weave the other more and more into their lives, their love grew. Grew into something that had only one answer, and that was marriage. Their bond, connection, trust, and faith carried them through these last 3 and a half years. By November 15th, 2025, Christie had moved into a new apartment in Seaport, awaiting Jeremy to move in sometime that month. It was on that day, Jeremy asked Christie to be his forever. That is where we are now. This is our story.
